Millions of Globacom subscribers across Nigeria were left stranded on Tuesday morning following a complete data service collapse that disrupted internet connectivity nationwide.
The telecommunications company confirmed that the outage commenced at 8:30 a.m. on December 9, 2025, rendering users unable to access online services or conduct internet-based transactions across multiple states.
In an official statement, the telecom provider acknowledged the widespread disruption and tendered an apology to affected customers.
“Earlier today, a data service outage occurred nationwide, affecting data connectivity across multiple locations,” the company stated.
Globacom assured its subscribers that technical engineers are actively working to resolve the infrastructure failure and restore normal operations.
“Our technical team is working to resolve the issue and ensure services are being restored as quickly as possible,” the statement explained.
The company expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the service interruption.
“We understand how important reliable access is to you and sincerely apologize for the disruption,” Globacom noted in its public communication.
The telecommunications provider also reached out to frustrated users through its social media channels, reiterating its commitment to swift service restoration.
“Thank you for your patience and for choosing Glo. We truly appreciate you,” the company added.
As of press time, restoration efforts were still ongoing, with many subscribers reporting intermittent connectivity issues across the country.
